SHARJAH SUSTAINABLE CITY

The “Sharjah Sustainable City” is the first integrated low-energy consumption project in the Emirate of Sharjah, where the society depends on adopting economic, social and environmental sustainability concepts. The Sharjah Development and Investment Authority (Shurooq) and Diamond Developers, the company specialized in developing sustainable environmental projects in the UAE, joined forces to develop this multi-use project, which is in line with the highest international standards. The project aims to be the first integrated and sustainable global community in the Middle East and North Africa. The city operates 100% of solar energy and recycles 100% of  waste water and solid wastes. There will be vegetables farming and leafy plants on site so as to encourage walking and jogging. The “Sharjah Sustainable City “is developed on an area of ​​7.2 million square feet and includes many residential complexes of three, four and five bedroom villas, in addition to a farm, a community shopping center, a sustainability center and a school.
